Today is Lydia's (Losing it with Lydia) day

My buddy Lydia went in for her RNY at 7:30 this morning at St. Luke's Hospital in Allentown under the skillful hands of Dr. Holland. 

According to her page on FB, she came out about an hour ago and all went well.  She should be going home tomorrow.  

I'm not sure if I will be able to get to the hospital to see her, but I am going to try really hard.  She said that she could actually use more help at home, so I am going to make every effort possible to get to her house when she comes home.  Even if it's just to refill her water bottle or bring her some SF popsicles, I want to be there for her a bit.  

Let's all move down and make room for another loser!!

Hooray, a new loser.  Who'd of thought that was good thing?  Congratulations Lydia.

Yah Lydia. 

One of the best things about the losers bench is that once you get on it.. you start to magically shrink and make room for the next person.

Lisa---It's great you'll be there for her when she's home.  I know it meant a lot to me to have the contact and support of folks who had already gone through the surgery! 

Siehara and I stopped by the hospital tonight and Lydia was doing great!! Her best friend was there with her (she also had RNY in August).  She was sitting in a chair and got up to walk while I was there.  She was sipping and breathing and sipping some more.  

She's going to do awesome!!!
